How to send External Email as a Nurse / Access Google Groups

Shared Email Accounts

Google Groups uses a similar format to Gmail. 
The main difference is Google Groups consist of shared email accounts rather than your own individual email address.
You can assign email messages to yourself or your colleague to action. You can mark an email as complete, duplicate or no action required. You can also add different labels to categorise your emails!

Open the App 

To access your Google Groups, open up your Google Chrome Dashboard (Homepage) and click on the application Groups for Business.


This will open up a new tab. Your My groups will instantly display on the first screen.

On the left of your Google Groups screen, you will see a list of options: 
  1. My groups
  2. Recent groups
  3. All groups
  4. Favourite groups

Send an External Email

  1. From the 'My Groups' list select one of the following options depending on your facility, for example:
    1. nurse.strathdale@cnh.com.au
    2. nurse.willowood@cnh.com.au
    3. nurse.oberon@cnh.com.au

  2. In the top left corner, select 'New Conversation'
  3. A 'new email' dialog box will appear on your left
  4. Change the sender by clicking on the 'from' email address and selecting either 
    1. nurse.strathdale@cnh.com.au
    2. nurse.willowood@cnh.com.au
    3. nurse.oberon@cnh.com.au

  5. Click on the 'Cc' button and enter in your recipient's email address
  6. Enter in your email subject
  7. Write your message
  8. Add the required attachment from your 'My Drive'
  9. Click 'Post Message' to send the email!
Did you know? any files you download from the internet or iCare/PCS will automatically be in your MyDrive! Therefore, you do not need to print any documents in order to email them to a third party such as a doctor or hospital.
